Team Retreat

About a week ago we left on our team retreat for 2010.

After having finished cleaning out house for an inspection we packed PJ (our Pajero) and headed off to Normanville about an hour away down South on the beach. We used this time as a chance to step back from the busyness of team life and spend the time together. It was very refreshing to sit at the beach reading a book or fishing enjoying the outdoors by ourselves or as a group. While we were there Kyle lead one of our worship times sitting on the jetty listening to the account of creation. Also there was some time for a few meetings and encouragement as a team. We even listened to the 'Princes Bride' in one of the Cafes there and enjoyed the fine dining of the Pub for our last dinner there. We graceiously praise God for the time he allowed for us to go away and grow closer to him and as a team.

Talent Quest

I am on the search for some very talented and brave individuals. The Awesomest Strath Team is having a Talent Quest as part of their glorious Mini-Muster on the 12th of June. I'm looking for items that will dazzle and delight the people of Strath. Everything from poetry, music and drama, to yodelling, comedy segments, choir ensembles, stories, soccer ball juggling, dancing, or something else that God has gifted you in, that will facilitate the creation of a night of great fun, infected with His Kingdom. (Whew that was a long sentence...) This Talent Quest is a fund raiser for Breast Cancer Research, so join the great cause and show of some skill! :) 

We are catering for about 200 people for this event, so I will need to know in advance if you are wanting to knock our socks off with your style. I would like to be able to space out items to ensure that this event is a slammer! If your up for the challenge of joining us on this adventure then let me know. :) There will be prizes.... ;)

Morning: Group discussion

Afternoon: Catch-up/sharing time at one of Strathalbyns cafes

Evening: We will be having a 'Talent Quest's fundraiser for breast cancer research.

Admission $5 per person $25 max/family

Sunday  

Morning: Group discussion. 

Lunch: BBQ lunch, followed by a Giant soccer game in the park and free time.

Dinner:  Sunday Dinner will be split between a number of host homes

For the children... there will be a kids program during the morning for children aged 2 -12yrs old.
